Try Para Ice Hockey
So you’ve watched the videos, been to a game, read all the match reports, and you decide you want to give para ice hockey a try?
You don’t need anything special to get started. We have sledges and protective equipment that you can borrow at no cost. All you need to bring is yourself and a bottle of water to drink (you will need it after a session!). If relevant, we recommend strong shoes – trainers, boots etc – to protect your feet, and trousers that you can move around in unrestricted.
Due to the amount of interest that we’ve been having in sledge recently, we can’t guarantee to have equipment for you on the next training session, but we will get you on the ice within a couple of weeks.
The first two training sessions are completely free for people new to the sport. After that, if you decide to hang around a little longer, it will cost you £8 per session, or you can become a full member of the club for £20 per month. At that point, we will encourage you to purchase your own protective equipment if you can, although you can still borrow our kit as long as you need to.
If you want to give it a go, just drop us an email through the contact page and one of us will get in touch with you!
